We are a full service veterinary hospital with boarding and bathing facilities. We treat cats, dogs, rabbits, and rodents. Our philosophy is to consider our patients as special as our own pets. We know that pets are part of the family and are honored by those who entrust their furry family members to our care.
Dr. Maureen Dorsey is the hospital owner and director. A UC Davis graduate, she began her career in veterinary medicine as a kennel assistant, became a groomer, completed an associates degree in animal health technology, worked as a virology technician for the Center of Reproduction of Endangered Species at the San Diego Zoo, assisted in research of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus at UC Davis, and was an associate veterinarian before purchasing Oakland Vet Hospital in 1995.
Dr. Cecilie Hart is also a UC
Davis
graduate and an avid soccer player and fan. A native to the San
Francisco
Bay Area, she volunteered in several veterinary practices before
attending
UC Davis. She has been affiliated with Oakland Veterinary
Hospital
since 1992.
Our support staff Deb, Laura,
Chanelle, Liz, Taia, Jenny, Meribeth, Lianne, Keturah,
Lauren, Courtney, and Monica do
their best to assist the doctors in patient care and provide
compassionate, attentive service to the humans!
